I don’t remember the careers’ adviser at school suggesting forging out a satisfying career ridding places of mice and cockroaches - so I ended up in the Civil Service.

When Hurricane Angus struck the UK last week, it certainly created a great deal of damage. Of course, some people were able to turn what could have been a disaster into something a little more pleasant, such as the people on a GWR train who found themselves stranded at Taunton with free pizza courtesy of Domino’s Pizza and Great Western Railways.

It has been a strange start to the year. As May slowly draws to a close, I have only just seen my first May bug. Once you have seen a flying May bug you won’t forget it; especially if one gets caught in your electric fly killer!

Cleankill as a company only has two assets – its staff and its customers, without these there is no business. Our responsibility is to train, encourage and support our staff in their work and in their welfare, so that they will in turn carry out their work to the best of their abilities and promote the image of Cleankill as the best provider of pest control services to their clients.

A New Year means, of course, the inevitable New Year’s resolution. We all start the New Year with the best of intentions and then watch as they slowly slip away. By the end of the year, most of us have completely forgotten our resolutions, just in time for them to become next year’s resolution. This year, however, I have a New Year’s resolution suggestion for your business that you will thank me for this time next year.

During the last few months, we have been busy throughout Sussex, Kent and London exhibiting at business expos. These are always a great opportunity to catch-up with existing customers and hopefully attract a few new clients.
